The Herald Angels are a trio of women who play and sing traditional southern music in the most beautiful of styles. Besides Alice Gerrard, a talent of legendary status, they include Gail Gillespie of Carrboro, NC, a noted banjoist, fiddler, guitarist and singer who is currently the editor of the Old-Time Herald magazine, and West Virginias Kay Justice, a noted singer and guitarist known for her work in the mid to late 90s with Ginny Hawker.
