The English Chamber Choir accompanied by the Orion Ensemble perform a programme of works by Bruckner and Stravinsky.
Bruckner's majestic setting of the Mass is written for eight-part mixed choir and fifteen wind instruments. Whilst the Stravinsky Mass demonstrates the anti-Romantic aesthetic that characterizes Stravinsky's compositions at the time. It is scored for mixed choirs and wind ensemble.
These contrasting settings will form the majority of the programme - which also includes two Bruckner motets and a short opening piece for brass by Gabrielli.
Rebecca Taylor conducts the first part of the concert whilst Guy Protheroe will conduct the Bruckner mass in part two.
Premium tikects feature best seats and a glass of wine.
