Kristen Graves and Nancy Tucker Together in a Virtual Concert Ticket Sales Ended at 5 p.m. EDT
As this brave new world of at-home quarantining continues, online musical presentations are helping to keep us sane and entertained and as far removed from the COVID-19 virus as possible. To help with this effort, the Walkabout Clearwater Coffeehouse is producing its second-ever streamed event on Saturday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m. EDT, -- direct from our living rooms to yours! Our performers, Kristen Graves and Nancy Tucker, are Coffeehouse favorites and we're looking forward to having them with us again, if only from afar. Tickets will be available until 5 p.m. EDT the night of the concert. Once you buy your tickets, wait until the day of the concert when you will be sent, via email, a one-time code to access the webinar. This will go out TWO HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW STARTS. Make sure your device is capable and ready for streaming this Zoom webcast. You don't have to have Zoom on your device for this to function, just click on the link. If you've never used Zoom (a free program), there are numerous tutorials to help you get started. This is the way music is going to be experienced for the foreseeable future. Kristen Graves is a folk/pop singer, songwriter, and humanitarian. Her lyrics catch your heart and her melodies stay with the listener long after the evening ends. Kristen's songs have a coziness to them like a well-worn blanket, but don't underestimate her, she can pack a serious emotional punch at a moment's notice. For her musicianship and activism, Connecticut's Governor Malloy designated a state-wide "Day" in her honor. Previously the state's official Troubadour, Kristen's humanitarian involvement has also been cited by both Rolling Stone and The New York Times.
Nancy Tucker's music and comedy center around a passion for life and laughter. Her guitar instrumentals have been compared to those of Michael Hedges and Leo Kottke, with a flair for unusual and kinetic compositions using every part of the guitar, including utilizing a guitar attachment of her own invention. No matter what the venue, Nancy captures each audience's imagination and heart with gentle invitation and contagious lunacy.
