"An Evening of Story & Song" with Kyshona Armstrong
A former music therapist, Kyshona started out enabling others to enjoy the healing properties of songwriting, and keeping her thoughts to herself. But the work got kind of heavy, as her emotional investment in patients' pain became too much to purge at coffeehouse open mics. So she got on the college singer-songwriter circuit, blending skills of empathizing and entertaining. You'll see why NPR Music said, "Wherever she plants her feet, she does so with righteous conviction and a strong sense of her own voice."
