LAS CRUCES UKEFEST 2020, WHICH WAS RESCHEDULED FOR MAY 21-23, 2021, HAS YET AGAIN BEEN RESCHEDULED - NOW FOR MAY 20 - 22, 2022.
INSTRUCTORS AND VENUES WILL REMAIN THE SAME.
Las Cruces UkeFest 2020 was to have been the fourth celebration of ukulele fun in southern New Mexico, featuring amazing instructor/performers Daniel Ho, Stu Fuchs, Casey MacGill, Del Rey, and Dani Joy and Perry Stauffer - the Dani Joy Duo.
Now scheduled for 2022, the festival will offer a concert with all these amazing musicians on Friday night, followed by workshops all day Saturday and Sunday morning, plus a jam session, vendors, open mic, catered lunch, and the opportunity to make new ukulele-loving friends from all over the country!
The venue listed on Brown Paper Tickets - the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum - is for the Saturday and Sunday workshops, lunch, jam session, etc. Friday's concert will be held at the New Mexico State University Atkinson Recital Hall, located on Horseshoe Circle. Please check our website for maps to all our venues.
Here is the tentative schedule for the weekend:
Friday: Atkinson Recital Hall, NMSU
6 p.m.: Registration begins
7 p.m.: Concert
Saturday: New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum
9 a.m.: Registration begins at Farm & Ranch Museum; Vendors
9:15 a.m.: Welcome & orientation
9:45 a.m.: Workshops begin
12 p.m.: Lunch (buffet included in festival registration) and open mic
1:15 p.m.: Workshops continue
5 p.m.: Prize drawings
7:30 p.m.: Jam session at Farm & Ranch Museum
9 a.m.: Ukulele Swap Meet opens (sell your old ukes!); some vendors
10 a.m.: Workshops begin
12:15 p.m.: Its a wrap! Safe travels home.
