Finsbury Park Singers - Autumn Term 2019
Love to sing? We'd like to invite you to join Finsbury Park Singers, a friendly mixed voice community choir led by award-winning conductor Hannah Brine. Rehearsals are every Tuesday at Elizabeth House Community Centre (7.00pm-8.45pm) in Finsbury Park from the 17th September until the end of term concert on 10th December 2019. There is no rehearsal on Tuesday 22nd or 29th October due to half term.
There are no auditions and all singers are welcome - you don't need to read music to take part. Rehearsal MP3's are provided for practice
Please buy a ticket for the section you sing in; voice parts range from soprano to alto, tenor and the lowest, which is bass - if you are unsure don't worry, we can help you at your first rehearsal - just select either if you don't know.
If you would prefer to come for a taster session rather than signing up straight away, please e-mail pa@hannahbrine.co.uk to arrange.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1) There are no refunds on membership fees.
2) Singers should be able to commit to attending 70% or more of rehearsals and are asked to sign the register at rehearsals each week.
3) We normally perform without music. Singers are asked to put in the appropriate amount of time outside of rehearsals to memorise words and learn your parts. There is usually a little bit of homework each week to revise a couple of songs to ensure we are making progress at each rehearsal. MP3s of parts are supplied to help with learning.
4) Singers are required to ensure they read the weekly newsletter and communicate with us regarding any additional resources or learning.
