LA Opera Talks | The Magic Flute
Mozarts masterpiece is one of the most beloved and most performed operas in the world. While the coloratura arias of the Queen of the Night and the comic antics of the birdcatcher Papageno are familiar to many of us, few know the story of the man without whom none of this would exist: Emanuel Schikaneder, the producer, director, author and lead actor of The Magic Flute. LA Operas Community Educator Ray Busmann's entertaining multimedia presentation will shine a light on this unsung heroone of the most important men of 18th century theatre.
