Central Lutheran Church and our co-sponsors are pleased and proud to present one of
the world's most-renowned choirs! J. S. Bach directed the St. Thomas Choir
(Thomanerchor) -- an ensemble of boys and young men -- for 27 years in the 18th century
and together they premiered many of his famous works. The choir has regularly
toured Europe but, with the exception of one appearance in New York in 1998,
never the United States . . . until now. Be part of musical history in the making!
Thomanerchor will perform with the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra, under the director of Georg Christoph Biller, the current cantor of St. Thomas Church, Leipzig, and thus a successor to Bach.
The program will include cantatas by J. S. Bach and pieces by Antonio Vivaldi.
Tickets: $40, $30, $20
