The Zakk Jones Trio at Waynesville Music
Zakk Jones is a Columbus based guitarist, composer/arranger, and educator with a B.M. in Jazz Studies from Capital University. He will be appearing October 5th at 7 PM at Waynesville Music with The Zakk Jones Trio, a dynamic ensemble which plays improvisational music living somewhere in the netherworld where jazz, Americana, folk, fusion and the avant-garde meet. Their debut album Mise-en-Scéne was just released in 2019, produced and engineered by Grammy-award winning professionals, including mixing engineer Rob Griffin who worked with Wayne Shorter. Zakk Jones is an adjunct faculty member at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University where he heads the guitar studio, and has studied with guitar greats such as Gilad Hekselman and Lage Lund, sharing past bills with such diverse artists as The Coasters and Chris Jamison of The Voice.
