Wednesday, October 16 8:00 PM at Nyack Center THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM Directed by John Chester 2018, USA, 91 minutes, documentary, rated PG
John Chester and his wife Molly left Los Angeles to establish a farm where they could live in anti-corporate harmony with nature. Nature gives but it also takes away, and eventually they learn to embrace biodiversity, stocking their land with all forms of plant and animal life. Their story is an uplifting, educational, and entertaining look at the sometimes weird and awesome ways in which humans can help nature do its work.
Post-screening discussion with Rockland Farm Alliance and local farmers, moderated by Susan Shapiro, Rivertown Film board member and owner of Green Goshen Farm.
Community Partners: Rockland Farm Alliance and Nyack Farmers Market. Rockland Farm Alliance Members receive the Rivertown Film member discount.
In a time when climate news is near-uniformly depressing, this is a nature documentary that pays loving and hopeful tribute to the complex web of life. Sara Stewart, New York Post
Check your cynicism and snark at the gate, if you dare. Janice Page, Boston Globe
