Dust off your football boots for our September Pay As You Feel screening, a film chosen for the community, by the community.
This month, we are partnering with Young Roots for a screening of feel-good British sports comedy, Bend It Like Beckham.
Plucky eighteen-year-old Jesminder Jess Bhamra is football-mad but forbidden to play by her orthodox Sikh parents because she is a girl. Defying their wishes, she joins a local womens team and shoots straight to the top of the league.
Before the screening, the Young Roots team will be sharing details of the amazing work they have been doing with young refugees and asylum-seekers.
There is no fixed price for this event. Simply pay what you think it's worth, either online or on the door.
