David Nagler's "Every Third Wednesday"
David Nagler's "Every Third Wednesday" will showcase Nagler's witty, character-driven original songs with the help of a variety of special guests, who will be announced prior to each of the three performances in September, October, and November. The show will draw on material from Nagler's concept pieces "The Appointees" (informed and provoked by Trump cabinet members) and Carl Sandburg's "Chicago Poems" (based on Sandburg's 100-year-old poems), in addition to brand new and old songs. For all performances, Nagler will be accompanied by Andrew Hall on upright bass and Stephanie Sanders on piano.

OCTOBER'S SPECIAL GUESTS*

Wesley Stace - the former John Wesley Harding -- singer-songwriter, author, and host of Cabinet of Wonders at City Winery

Bridget St. John - legendary English folk singer-songwriter best known for her late '60s/early '70s records

Max Avery Lichtenstein - film composer for movies including Tarnation and Jesus'Son and member of bands Camphor and Timesbold

David Nagler is a Brooklyn-based musician, singer, and songwriter. In addition to playing live and/or recording with Jeff Tweedy, Okkervil River, the Mekons, Mark Eitzel, Bridget St. John, Tammy Faye Starlite, Justin Sayre, and Tanya Donelly, he is the founder and frontperson for NY metropolitan area pop group Nova Social and the host of The Oracle Show at Sid Golds Request Room. As musical director for Wesley Stace's Cabinet of Wonders, Nagler has performed with over 125 different artists including Joan Baez, Aaron Neville, Rosanne Cash, Fred Armisen, Steve Earle, Andrew Bird, and Stephin Merritt (of The Magnetic Fields).

"Because of his affability and boundless talent, Nagler has gone from playing liberally with the indie rock crowd to playing with a lot of people who are at the forefront of contemporary American music." -Rick Moody, The Rumpus
