Independent Opera Company presents Medium by Menotti
Independent Opera Company begins its seventh season, "The season of deceit and infidelity" with Menotti's "The Medium". The opera tells the story of Madame Flora, the medium, her daughter Monica and Toby, a mute servant boy. The three conduct seances where they take advantage of vulnerable clientele by pretending to contact their loved ones who have passed on. Amidst one seance in particular there is an odd occurrence that happens forcing the seance to end abruptly and the lives of Madame Flora, Monica and Toby to spiral downward.
The performance will be complimented by a short first half with musical excerpts of similar spooky nature.
