BLINKY AND ME, a film by Tomasz Magierski.
On Friday, August 2nd at 7:30 pm, Tomasz Magierski, director, presents his award-winning film, BLINKY & ME (2012), about Yoram Gross, Polish Holocaust survivor and escape artist who later became a legendary animator and Australias national treasure. Q&A to follow.
In his 80s, Gross, who has delighted generations of children worldwide with his books, films, and beloved animated characters, Blinky Bill, Dot and Kangaroo and Skippy, recounts his own escape-filled World War II saga.
This project is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Councils Arts Link Grant Program, with public funds provided through the NY State Council on the Arts with support from Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the NY State Legislature and with public funds from Putnam County. The event is being presented free of charge, with donations of any amount gratefully accepted.
