Soulful Sunday Jazz Brunch
You are invited to attend The Federal City Alumnae Chapter's Soulful Sunday Jazz Brunch on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Arbor Ballroom, 3600 New York Avenue, NE from 12pm - 4pm.
Our entertainment will be provided by Marcus Johnson and Lori Williams. An accomplished jazz pianist in his own right, Marcus' trio will bring a jazzy mix that has allowed him to cultivate both mature smooth jazz fans as well as the younger urban-contemporary audiences. Marcus has released five solo CDs (all reaching the top 20 of Billboards Contemporary Jazz charts), including his latest projects entitled The Phoenix and "In Concert for a Cause", featuring some of Marcus' most notable hits.
Lori Williams has performed with many nationally-known recording artists such as Regina Belle, Eric Benet, Keter Betts, Tom Browne, Jerry Butler, Gene Chandler, Will Downing, Maysa, Tony Terry, Vanessa Williams, Vesta Williams, and others. She also has done extensive studio recording and commercial work on the East Coast, USA and Japan. Lori is the lead vocalist for two Washington-based jazz ensembles, Collaboration and Lori Williams & Friends.
Tickets are $40.00 with proceeds benefiting the Sorority's charitable causes and scholarships.
