Info Session: Proposed WA Overtime Rules August 2019
The Nonprofit Network is hosting an informational meeting about proposed changes on Thursday, August 8th. Speakers will include David Streeter, Director of Public Policy at Washington Nonprofits and Mike Zahniser, Human Resource Consultant at BBSI. David will have advocacy materials. We will also provide tools for determine the financial impact on your organization.
Labor & Industries will be holding a public hearing on the proposed rules on August 15 in Vancouver at Clark College Columbia Tech Center. 9:00 to 10:00, explanation and discussion of proposed rules; 10:00 to noon, public hearing.
The Nonprofit Network August 8 meeting will provide background information and way to consider the proposed changes in advance of any public statements or decisions you want to make in advance of the public hearing or the end of the public comment period.
Please RSVP so we have the room set up appropriately. There is no cost to attend.
Location: Innovative Services NW, 9414 NE Fourth Plain Vancouver 98662. MAP There are two points of entry to the parking lot: 1) When on NE Vancouver Mall Drive, facing JC Pennys, turn right at traffic light onto NE 94th Avenue. Take the first right into the Innovative Services Parking lot. 2) Come through the parking lot of Best Western Hotel off Fourth Plain, immediately east of NE Vancouver Mall Drive (where you would enter the mall towards JC Pennys). You will know you are in the right place when you see the art installation of white doves flying up the center of the brick building.
