Livingston Taylor, September 28, 2013

Livingston Taylor picked up his first guitar at the age of thirteen, beginning a forty-year career that has encompassed performance, songwriting and teaching. From top-forty hits "I Will Be in Love with You" and "I'll Come Running," to "I Can Dream of You" and "Boatman" both recorded by his brother James, Livingston's creative output has continued unabated. His musical knowledge has inspired a varied repertoire, and he is equally at home with a range of musical genresfolk, pop, gospel, jazzand from upbeat storytelling to touching ballads.

Formed in 2007 as the Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Nova has expanded its vision to become New England's first professional training orchestra. Symphony Nova, has added programs to not only prepare its musicians for the rigors of professional musical performance, but also develop business and interpersonal skills that are required for long-term success. Berklee Concert Jazz Orchestra, March 29, 2014

The BCJO is comprised of 19 of the best and brightest young talents at the college. In addition to playing music by great jazz masters like Duke Ellington, Bob Brookmeyer, and McCoy Tyner, each semester the group debuts a brand new repertoire of original student compositions that bend the jazz canon and use the many colors of a big band in new ways. Director Greg Hopkins, professor of jazz composition and a jazz trumpeter with Buddy Rich and Dizzy Gillespie among others, will lead this amazing ensemble. The Great Hall concert will also feature a leading jazz soloist drawn from the ranks of Berklee College's distinguished list of alumni.

Cadence, May 17, 2014

Four men. Four microphones. No instruments.

This is the formula for Canada's celebrated vocal band, Cadence. Combining the lyricism of Stan Getz, the sophisticated harmonies of the Count Basie Big Band and the devil-may-care attitude of Louis Prima, this fabulous foursome has been entertaining audiences worldwide for over a decade with their innovative jazz arrangements, genre-hopping covers and eclectic originals. With an infectious energy and a good measure of wild stage antics, this cool cat rat pack of musical misfits is guaranteed to leave you shouting out for more.
