Description
Charles Gounod's "Romeo and Juliet" is an opera in five acts based on the French libretto by Jules Barbier and Michel Carré. Notable for the four duets sung by the main characters and the waltz song "Je veux vivre", Opera Colorado's version is performed in English and has been adapted for younger audiences. Based on the play by William Shakespeare, Opera Colorado's version also includes scenes from Shakespeare's original text.
