LEED Energy Modeling for Multifamily New Construction
Register now for a power-packed session that offers the industry a better understanding of the nuts and bolts, and ultimately improved quality, of multifamily energy modeling for LEED projects.  Seasoned instructors Alistair Jackson and David Reddy will impart wisdom and insider tips for modeling multifamily mid-rise and high-rise projects for both LEED v4 Homes Multifamily Midrise (MFMR) and LEED v4 BD+C: New Construction (NC). Content will include the typical timeline of modeling milestones, documentation requirements, common reviewer comments, tips for using modeling to optimize energy efficiency, and insight for non-analysts seeking to coordinate effectively on LEED projects. You wont want to miss this valuable opportunity.

Who should attend:  This training primarily targets beginning and mid-level energy modelers.  Non-practitioners who coordinate with LEED energy modelers as part of design, real estate development, energy consulting or public permit review and funding may also wish to attend the training.

Post training information session:  For those who are interested to stay after the training, Seattle City Light and Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections will outline benefits in permitting, funding, and FAR that are available to some projects on the basis of LEED Energy and Atmosphere whole building modeling results.

Alistair Jackson, LEED Homes AP, QAD, brings more than 25 years of experience in the field of sustainable business, merging a deep technical understanding of building performance with first-hand experience of integrating sustainable principles into practice. Alistair plays a critical role on as a member of the Housing Development Consortiums Exemplary Buildings Task Force.

David Reddy, PE, has over 15 years of professional experience, including 12 years focused on analyzing the performance of buildings. He was a founding member of 360 Analytics and continues his leadership role as a principal at OBrien360. He is an advanced user of both the eQUEST and EnergyPlus whole building energy simulation software, using these tools for a wide range of applications, including evaluation and optimization of building efficiency strategies, completing measurement and verification studies, and documenting compliance with energy codes and green building certifications. Davids team has focused on providing auditing and analysis services in the multifamily housing sector and has worked on over 60 multifamily projects. In addition to consulting, hes served as sub-committee chair in development of ASHRAEs Standard 209: Energy Simulation Aided Design for Buildings, and recently as a member of the State Building Code Councils Energy Technical Advisory Group and member of the Housing Development Consortiums Exemplary Buildings Task Force.
