Event
Brahms Girls
The Seattle Brahms Festival will begin with the dulcet tones of the Northwests newest early-music vocal ensemble Brahms Girls, an a cappella quartet founded and directed by Nancy Zylstra. The Girls will be performing the ravishing Renaissance, Romantic, and folk songs that Brahms arranged for his own vocal quartet of young women in Hamburg.
All music is performed on period instruments, including The Governors Chickering, a magnificent 1867 rosewood concert grand (once owned by the last governor of the Washington Territory) whose rich, captivating sound enthralled our audiences last season.
