Lauren Wahl & Simply Put Album Release with special guest Lindsey Wall
Lauren Wahl is a singer-songwriter who is excited to be releasing her first full length album with her band Simply Put at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Saturday August 3rd 2019 in Santa Cruz, California.
The album title "Field Notes" is a nod to her father, composer and pianist Robert Field of the Florida Intergenerational Orchestra whose love for music and dedication to the arts afforded her early vocal training with Andy Anselmo and John Harris of The Singer's Forum, NYC and at the Connecticut Conservatory of Music in New Milford, CT.
Lauren self released her first 5 song EP "Hello, Baby" in March 2018, locally produced by Patrick Brede. The EP can be found on digital streaming sights like apple music, Pandora and soundcloud.
She has since been working diligently to make her full length album "Field Notes" produced by Andy Snyder (Nomad Audio, Scotts Valley) mixed by John Secolo (Imagem records, NYC) and mastered by Justin Weis (San Francisco). The album was funded by the generosity of over 130 friends, family and fans through Kickstarter with the assistance of Joshua Huver, Must Have Media.
Lauren will be showcasing her band Simply Put, consisting of members Zach Latham-bass, Ryan Navoroli-sax, Marcus Balanky-guitar, and Rowan Decosse-Graves, aka "Orgyen Graves", and will have guest appearances by former band member Mariah Roberts-fiddle, and local legend Patti Maxine-lap steel.
