Midsummer SongFest

On Friday July 12, 2019, Isle of Shoals is hosting a cabaret fundraiser for our upcoming season in the friendly downstairs space of our favorite rehearsal studio, Studios 353. Come for the drinks, come for some awesome performances, but most of, come to support our efforts to keep independent theatre alive and well in New York City!

The evening is hosted by playwright/actor/comedian Tirosh Schneider. His original plays and screenplays have been seen at The Flea Theatre, ASF's Southern Writer's Project, The Pack Theatre in Hollywood, in a number of readings and workshops, and at Duane Reade.

Also featuring a special performance by world-reknowned fiddler Kenny Kosek! Kenny has worked with artists as diverse as Laurie Anderson, Steve Goodman, John Denver, James Taylor, Jerry Garcia, Loudon Wainwright III and The New Blue Velvet Band. He has played in several Broadway musicals, including "Big River," "Foxfire" and "The Robber Bridegroom!" We're so excited to have him join us!

The evening will also feature a sneak peak of scenes from our upcoming productions, which include an innovative iteration of Waiting for Lefty by Clifford Odets and Paradise: Lost & Found, a rollicking new play by Tirosh Schneider, directed by Katie Young, about a hapless man who finds himself entangled in heavenly bureaucracy at the Pearly Gates.

We've got an amazing lineup of performances from Broadway talents and Isle of Shoals alums alike including: Amara Haaksman, Noah Pyzik, Kat Sallet, Meredith M. Sweeney, Emma Freeman, Joseph Mace, Alex Johnson, Bill Schineller, Judi Polson, Arthur Lundquist, Justy Kosek, Cecilia Vaicels, Linda Elizabeth, and Edlyn Griffin!

Admission includes:

- Live Entertainment!

Doors (and the bar) will open at 7:00 pm, entertainment will begin at 8:00, and we will be partying 'til 10:30 (or thereabouts). We welcome all levels of dress: formal, casual and everything in-between!
