Share this event:

Spend those hot summer nights at The Side Yard Farm every second Wednesday of the month this summer. Join us on Wednesday, July 10th for Bike in Movie Night on the farm. We started movie nights in order to bring community together and spotlight some really talented artisans. This July we are celebrating womxn owned businesses! Enjoy wines and sangria by Landmass Wines and indian fusion bites from Ruchikala. Side Yard will be serving up our signature farmy popcorn and cookies from Miss Zumsteins. We will be showing '10 Things I Hate About You', a 1999 classic of a modern remake of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew." Did I mention you must ride your bike?! It's a bike in movie ya'll.

Kusuma, Kusum, Kumi - a chef by many names tinkers with regional Indian fare inspired by the interconnectivity of our world. They reach for meaning by creating thoughtful culinary parallels with the use of intense warming spices in hopes to create moments of mindful reflection. Bred by traditional Indian cuisine, romanced by Sonoran Mexican street food and professionally blurring the lines of all-that and in-between. Growing up in her mothers kitchen in Tucson, AZ Kusuma began cooking at a very young age experimenting with spices from all over the world. Through her culinary career she has honed her techniques to create inspiring dishes for her clients. Utterly obsessed with perfection, she strives to create works of art on every plate. She has worked as a restaurant consultant and menu developer and writes and ponders passionately about food wherever she goes.

Chaat Tostada - Mumbai street food meets Sonoran Mexican food. A crisp corn tortilla, topped with a yellow peas curry, tamarind date chutney, mint pepita chutney, a sweet and savory yoghurt chutney and a house made crispy chickpea vermicelli. *Can be made vegan upon request.

Technically trained, both academically and under the guidance of some of the Willamette Valleys most intuitive and intelligent winemakers, Melanely Schmidt aim's to make wines that grow as she does - with thoughtfulness and integrity. She lets excitement and experimentation guide her practice and continue to learn each step of the way, aiming to create the best wines possible.
