Sextet in the City
Between 2005 and 2008, Brahms on the Bluff presented the complete instrumental chamber music of Brahms for the first time in Pittsburgh musical history. The two luscious and gorgeous String Sextets will be offered, along with Poulenc's cheeky and lyrical Sextet, a showcase for five PSO members who will join David Allen Wehr. PSO Principal Harp Gretchen Van Hoesen offers Ravel's Introduction and Allegro, one of the cornerstones of the chamber music repertoire for harp. PSO Associate Principal Oboe Max Blair has joined the Duquesne faculty and will make his Bluff debut on this program.
