Gary Blackburn: Local celebrated singer-songwriter, Gary Blackburn, brings together his smooth vocals and stylized guitar picking to form his own personal sound in the Country, Rock, Blues genre for his annual benefit for The Compassionate Friends Of Santa Cruz. Gary's original tunes reflect his own style, blending old school with contemporary along with an intimate, and emotional stage presence. Gary will weave a memorable musical performance for his audience, connecting with songs that tell of love, forgiveness, and the paths that we choose. Along with his originals, Gary blends in cool selected covers from a wide variety of musical artist and genres. Gary will give his all in his performance of heart felt love songs to uplifting rock tunes. Gary will also be selling his CD, "Streak Of Gray", produced by Keith Greeninger. You can hear Gary's song, "Carolina", on KPIG 107.5FM. All CD sales to be donated to The Compassionate Friends.
The Compassionate Friends Mission: When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.
