Spencer Elliott at Waynesville Music
Drawing from the guitar legacies started by Michael Hedges and Preston Reed and continued by his CandyRat colleagues and label mates like Don Ross, Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour, Spencer Elliott is forging new musical horizons, exploring what is possible on acoustic guitar that has not yet been done. His recently released 2019 CD "Folding Space" is an amalgam of slapping, tapping, harmonics, percussion and melody which alternately rewards the listener with either an inspiring assault or a beautiful meditation. His live performances are a cinema of contrasting emotions conjured from just one guitar.
