Maurice Ravel - String Quartet in F Major
Ludwig van Beethoven - Viola Quintet in C Major, Op. 29
Join us in the rustic environs of the Medomak Retreat Center (home of the Conductor's Retreat at Medomak) in scenic Washington, Maine for a concert of beautiful string quartets and quintets. Guest faculty member Marcus Thompson joins the DSQ to play the Beethoven Viola Quintet Op 29.
This concert is open to the public, and is part of The DaPonte String Quartet Institute, which is in its inaugural year. The Institute welcomes advanced string quartet groups from all over the world for a 10-day residential workshop focused exclusively on the art of string quartet performance. The institute program is all-scholarship to the auditioned and accepted student groups, thanks to the support of our donors and sponsors.
