Outta Da Vox Vocal Improv Concert!
Outta Da Vox is a 9 member A Capella Vocal Improvisation ensemble formed in 2018!
Veteran vocal improvisors create compelling pieces on the spot, influenced by Bobby McFerrin, Art Lande, Steve Reich and Rachelle Ferrell. You'll also hear vocalised percussion, bass, and elecric guitar, and spoken word with piano and percussion.
Our enlivened team is Sam Rogers, Pollyanna Bush, Michael Smolens, Renée Benmeleh, Linda Stonestreet, Stephen Iverson, Reina Lam, and Molly Ann Graceland, and Nate Dewart.
Members have performed or recorded with vocalists Rhiannon, Meredith Monk, Claudia Schmidt, David Worm, Raz Kennedy, and instrumentalists Stefon Harris, Paul McCandless, David Balakrishnan (Turtle Island String Quartet), Paul Hanson, and Zakir Hussain.
