Kick Out The Summer Jams
June 1st, 2019- Kick Out the Summer Jams in the Pit at Kampfires Campground 2 miles north of Exit 3 in Brattleboro. The day kicks off at 2pm with the Eben Viens Band, performing songs from their new album, Big Star.
The afternoon continues with local heros The Big Empty, an indie folk trio with a wide ranging diverse repertoire. Jason Scaggs and Jeff Richardson play with enthusiasm and ease, engaging their instruments, the audience, and each other with a symbiotic musicianship echoing the past while embracing the present.
Rev Tor and Friends, including members of Kung Fu, Entrain and Steal Your Peach Band, finish off the afternoon with a mix of funky bass, foot stomping percussion and bouncy guitar lines pulling the whole groove together and creating an entrancing state and simply making the body want to move! Memorable soulful melodies and even the bands cover tunes, tunes from the Allmans and the Dead, have a distinctly Torricized feel.
Bring your own lawn chairs and enjoy the sunshine. No outside alcohol permitted but food, wine and beer provided by Whetstone Station's Rollin' Stone food truck. Tickets $10 for the whole day. Onsite free parking.
