COMMON PERFORMS AT FAREWELL SUMMER 2013
The Ajile L Turner Scholarship Foundation (The ALT Scholarship Foundation) hosts its annual end of summer fundraising event, Farewell Summer on Thursday, September 12, 2013 celebrating the diversity of the independent arts and culture communities.
As our performance lineup continues to grow, Farewell Summer 2013 stays true to its roots by again welcoming a very special appearance by philanthropist, actor, author and hip hop superstar COMMON, as well as performances from some of the hottest and upcoming acts in independent and mainstream music including ALT Foundation partner YAHZARAH and introducing soul ingénue AMMA WHATT with more acts to be announced.
All proceeds from Farewell Summer 2013 benefit the ALT Scholarship Foundation's E3 (Education, Entrepreneurship & Entertainment) Scholarship, awarded to exemplary students who demonstrate academic achievement and The Ajile Grant, awarded to outstanding non-profit organizations that focus on enhancing the lives of others through education, the arts or entertainment.
