James Suggs CD Release Party
One of the finest trumpet players in the Bay area, James Suggs, originally from Harrisburg, PA, has music degrees from Youngstown State and University of So. Florida. He has toured and recorded with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and performed with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Kenny Burrell, Dick Hyman, Robin Eubanks, Chuck Mangione, Maria Schneider, John Lamb, Nate Najar, Harry Allen, Chuck Redd and Frankie Avalon to name a few. He has performed his critically acclaimed tributes to Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis.
Joining Suggs will be joined by members of La Lucha Alejandro Arenas, bass; John OLeary, piano; and Mark Feinman, drums. La Lucha was awarded Creative Loafings Best of the Bay Jazz Ensemble in 2013, 2014 & 2015.
Doors Open at 7pm.
Chef Mike of Leaf & Lentil@The Kumquat Kitchen will have food available for purchase.
Beer, Wine, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, and tea available for purchase inside.
