Iain Rankin (singer-songwriter) at AMC @ UCC / AMC2019
Born in Scotland, Rankin spent most of his life in Canada but returned to Edinburgh in the halcyon folk days of the 1960's and 1970's. Sessions with Gaughan, Rafferty, Henderson and Jansch, solo gigs, European tours with the superb "Rankin File" and a compilation Greentrax album, then back to Canada and returning now for his first solo gig in 40 years. Impressive songs, rich Canadian voice, smooth guitar and smoother intros. "He's still got it!" (Ian McCalman).
