A unique collaboration:
Sound Circle, the 19-voice women's a cappella ensemble directed by Sue Coffee. Based in Boulder, Sound Circle has been singing together for 25 years. Committed to the creation of new music that is relevant to our lives, musically innovative, and of the highest quality, Sound Circle has commissioned many new works; developed percussion, improvisation, and movement pieces; performed original music by members of the ensemble; and created new arrangements of many works.
Wild Earth Ensemble is a revolving supergroup of all-star musicians who share a deep care and concern for the stewardship of our planet and a deep commitment to following the call of wild creative flow. The result is a diverse, moving, deep musical experience. Featured for this concert are Sandra Wong, Deborah Schmit-Lobis and Joy Adams offering a joyous, soulful journey around the globe featuring music of Ireland, Appalachia, Scandinavia, the middle-east, originals and more with exquisite instrumentation; voice, violin, nyckelharpa, cello, and piano.
