Join the AAC Sierra Nevada Section September 14, 15 for the Pinecrest Climb-In. This yearly event for AAC members and their guests takes place on the Gianelli Edges--granite crags 3,000 feet above Pinecrest Lake, California in the Stanislaus National Forest. Saturday afternoon we meet at Royal and Liz Robbins' cabin for BBQ and socializing from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
**IMPORTANT: You MUST sign the online waiver after registering for this event. To do so, please go to http://goo.gl/5kphM and complete the online form. The account you create through our waiver system can be used for future AAC events!
**IMPORTANT: When registering for this event, use the "Date" menu to select your reservation option. If camping with the group, please select the "September 13" date; If you are not camping with group, please select the "September 14" date.
EVENT DETAILS: -If Camping: $20 per person if AAC member/$25 per person if not AAC member. This covers two night's camping plus party. We will reserve and pay for Friday and Saturday night campsites. -If not camping: $10 per person if AAC member/$15 per person if not AAC member, to help pay for BBQ.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Saturday, September 14 -10 a.m. Meet at Gianelli Trailhead -10:30 (or any time after) Meet at Genesis -3:30 p.m. Move to Roches, cache gear, hike out. -5:30 7:30 Eats and drinks at Robbins' cabin Sunday, September 15 -9:30 a.m. Meet at Gianelli Trailhead -10 a.m. Meet at The Roches -10 3 p.m. Climb at The Roches or thereabouts -3:30 Hike out and drive home, hot, happy, and exhausted.
