Champagne and Schumann
Join Music In The Morning for a special fundraising event, Champagne and Schumann, which brings the award-winning Ensemble Midtvest from Denmark to their British Columbia debut. The innovative ensemble brings together magic everywhere they perform: Usually such variety in programming is only heard from musicians being brought together for the first time. Ensemble Midtvest is a full-time chamber ensemble dedicated completely to the presenting of richly curated programs. On May 4th, our audience will be treated to a program bringing together mixed instrument ensemble works such as: Brahms rarely heard horn trio; a mentor-relationship explored from Brahms to Robert Schumanns irrepressible Piano Quartet; and a rarely heard gem by Prokofiev featuring a sextet with two violins, viola, cello, piano, and clarinet!
