Scary Cow Independent Film Festival
Come out Saturday, April 6th to celebrate the newest batch of short films made by local filmmakers. You're invited to watch and vote for your favorite films. The top-voted films will receive budget awards for future projects!
Scary Cow is a collective of filmmakers ranging from beginner to pro. Our films are a wide range of genres and a lot of fun to both make and watch! We believe the best way to learn to make films is to actually get out there and make films. Every six months, we watch the films we create together at a historic SF theater.
We'd love for you to be a part of our community and join us for the screening. Everyone is welcome. Support local filmmaking right here in the Bay Area!
All ticket proceeds go directly to fund future films made by our members.
This screening, we're going back to our roots and setting up at the Roxie Theater in the SF Mission District. We'll be following up our screening with an After Party around the corner at 518 Valencia. Be sure to buy a Festival Pass if you would like to attend!
Tickets are available in limited quantities, so purchase quickly as we will sell out!!
There are THREE ticket levels available for purchase.
1) Per Phase Ticket $10
- This ticket level grants you access to either Phase 1 or Phase 2, subject to availability. If you attend Phase 1 at 1pm, you must relinquish your seat at intermission. If you purchase Phase 2, you will be admitted before Phase 2 starts around 2pm.
2) Screening Ticket $15
- This ticket level grants you access to the entire screening including both Phase 1 and Phase 2 films
3) Festival Pass $25
The Festival Pass gets you all of the screening access of the Screening Ticket in addition to:
- Entrance to the Scary Cow After Party held at 518 Valencia at 3:30pm
- Complimentary beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks at the party!
- Mingle with the filmmakers and talk about your next great project!
- Members of Scary Cow at the annual subscription level get one free Festival Pass to every screening while they are a member
Please note that some films screened may contain content that is inappropriate for children. Print programs at the festival will specify which films are All Ages versus Teen and Older.
