Doug Lynner: Synthesizerman
Doug Lynner, aka Synthesizerman, is an analog modular synthesizer pioneer and master. As the editor/publisher of the first synthesizer magazine, Synapse, and as a founding member of the synth bands LEM, Moebius and Invisible Zoo, Lynner has been at the forefront of electronic music since the early 1970s.
Hear him perform live on the "Mystery Serge," Cyndustries modules, synthesizer keyboard and guitar as he creates electronic music in ambient, rhythmic and avant garde genres.
The show will also feature visuals designed by local multimedia artist Mike Dietrich. Combining creative lighting with multidimensional projection mapping and computer-generated images, this will create an appropriate high-tech backdrop to Doug's musical performance. Providing the "sights" to Doug's "sounds" is and an exciting collaboration for Mike due to his love of analog synthesizers, electronic music, and the interaction of visuals and music.
