A Place 50 million people in the U.S. don't know where their next meal is coming from, despite the fact that our nation has the means to provide nutritious, affordable food for all Americans. A Place at the Table is a documentary from the makers of Food, Inc. that poignantly demonstrates hunger is a social and economic issue.
Center for Changing Lives takes an innovative approach to address the economic root causes of want, whether it manifests as hunger or homelessness. CCL is bridging workforce, financial and homeless services by integrating housing, financial and employment services so that individuals and families in Chicago obtain sufficient income to meet their needs.
Come explore the relationship between Center for Changing Lives' financial security and housing stability work and how we can work to end hunger an upcoming screening of A Place At The Table sponsored by North Shore Community Bank at the Wilmette Theatre located at 1122 Central Avenue in Wilmette, on July 23, 2013 at 7:30pm.
