Zompire: The Undead Film Festival
Zompire is back from the Grave!
October 4, 7-11pm & October 5, 3-11pm, 2013
Clinton St. Theater, Portland, OR

From the people behind the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival & CthulhuCon (18 years and running), Zompire: The Undead Film Festival is an annual event featuring independent short and feature films of the Undead! Get your Halloween season started right with the coolest, most intelligent, occasionally gruesome, and totally fun movies and events.

ZOMPIRE IS ALL INDEPENDENT FILMS!

Independent filmmakers are the ones who take real risks, making movies with truly fresh ideas. Please join us and come enjoy these films you can't see at your local multiplex!

We are proud to announce that the feature-length Japanese heavy metal zombie movie, DEAD BANGING, directed by Eiji Uchida will be making its US Premiere at Zompire. Dead Banging has everything you need: an all-girl Heavy Metal band (played by real-life all-girl rock band, Gacharic Spin), a gun-toting monk, martial artist school girl military enforcers(!), and, of course, head-banging Zombies. Don't miss this chance to be among the first in the US to appreciate the full glory of this zany, bloody, and rockin' movie.

Also featured is DEAD MEAT WALKING: A Zombie Walk Documentary, showcasing the Zombie Walk phenomenon with interviews of Norman Reedus (Walking Dead), Judith O'Dea (Night of The Living Dead), Tom Savini (special makeup effects for Friday the 13th and Romero's Dead movies), John Russo (screenwriter, Night of The Living Dead), and many more.

SOUND OF NOTHING is a new independent feature that takes place 6 years after the Zombie Apocalypse, and is a smart and thoughtful examination of life after the fall, with tons of action and thrills. Our final feature-length film, THEY WILL OUTLIVE US ALL asks the question, "what will survive?" after a string of monster hurricanes, starting with Hurricane Sandy, hit New York City. Both gruesome and hilarious, this film is a must-see!

Plus, over 160 minutes of short films, including:
A Cup of Sugar (USA 11 mins.)
Bad Moon Rising (Australia 8 mins.)
Environmental Pressures and Species Adaptation () (South Korea 11 mins.)
Girl At The Door (USA 12 mins.)
Luna (USA 12 mins.)
Miasma (USA 7 mins.)
Mr. Nakamura's Addiction (USA 10 mins.)
Sanguijuelas (Mexico 27 mins.)
Sulfuric (USA 9 mins.)
The Tale of the Curious and Confused Monster (Australia 3 mins.)
Thicker Than Water (USA 16 mins.)
