Foundry Hall presents Jordi Baizan
Touring singer-songwriter from Texas performs downstairs at the Black River Tavern. Local singer-songwriters Andy Baker and Ron VanLente will join in at the end of the concert, too.
Jordi Baizan is a first generation American and native Texan songwriter. He is multicultural, born in Houston to Spanish and Cuban parents, and married to Carmen who hails from Mexico.
Jordi has been recognized by two prestigious Texas songwriting competitions, the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition (Regional Finalist) and the Songwriter Serenade Competition (Semifinalist). His recent EP "Like the First Time" was on the Top 50 Americana Album on the APD Global Radio Chart (#30 as of June 8th) and the title track was chosen as KPFT 90.1 Houston's Song of the Day.
