Spring Out to Sunset Concert featuring Mojo Morganfield
Join us for a celebration of spring at Sunset Hill Farm amphitheater. This blues-inspired concert takes place at the conclusion of our annual Spring Out to Sunset festival.
Joseph Mojo Morganfield isn't just any newcomer to the Chicago Blues music scene. As the youngest son of legendary artist Muddy Waters, Mojo has (according to Orman Music Group) "taken his rightful place among blues royalty." His debut album Mojo Risin' is a blend of original tracks as well as Muddy Waters tracks.
Our opening artists, James Gedda and Jack Whittle, are local Northwest Indiana musicians. With his rich, earthy baritone, James Gedda draws frequent comparisons to Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Conway Twitty. Whittle's music is a deep blend of Blues and Roots that is playful and sincere, improvised but not wandering.
Bring your lawn chairs and join us at our outdoor venue. Tickets are $10 each - children 12 and under free.
