Fundraiser for PT&E Music Program with Flip Breskin & Zeke Hoskin
Listen to wonderful music, enjoy delicious food and join Artichoke Community Music and the Portland Folk Music Society to support the Music Program at Portland Tennis & Education at St Johns Racquet Center.  The theme for the evening is "Making Music for Everyone!"  Come at 5:30 pm for a Potluck Family Dinner.  Family's will then be invited to a play children's musical games with Flip Breskin and Zeke Hoskin to get the music started.  Music students of the program will be invited to open the show and then our special guests, Flip and Zeke will perform starting at 7 pm.  We promise a fun filled celebration of music supporting music education at PT&E!

Zeke & Fl!p met at a music camp in 1992, and married in 1998. Their concerts tend to have sections of musical ping-pong, alternating humorous songs by Zeke with serious songs by Fl!p. They back each other up and occasionally sing harmony. Their signature numbers are Slack Key, where Fl!p uses Hawaiian licks to frustrate Zekes attempts to sing too quickly, and I Love Chocolate, where Zeke composes verses on the spot as the audience suggests topics. They live way up near the Canadian border, in Bellingham, Washington.

The music program at PT&E has been a part of the curriculum since 2011.  The program was founded by Bob Howard, PT&E volunteer and the music director and is staffed by volunteers.  Jason Alburger has volunteered for the last three years and several local artists have volunteered regularly in the program since its inception, including Beth Wood, Sarah Anne Wolfe and Blaine Heinonen.
