The First Annual Great Northeast: "Jug Band Festival"
Saturday, May 4, 2019, 7:00-10:30pm Arlington Masonic Temple 19 Academy Street, Arlington, MA 02476
New England's first-ever annual jug band festival will highlight traditions from the 1920s and 30s, and the modern evolution of this good-time music.
The festival will conclude with a rollicking concert featuring five of the areas best jug bands:
- Too Tight Jug Band
- High Maintenance Jug Band
- KC Moaners
- Outrageous Fortune
- Busted Jug Band
** And join us before the event from 6:00-7:00pm for a series of free workshops, where participants will be able to:
- Explore funky & homemade jug band instruments - Learn to blow a bass line on a jug or keep time on spoons or washboard - Jam along!
