From Hildegard of Bingen to Dolly Parton, women have expressed themselves through music, composing prolifically even when their music couldn't be performed publicly. But now the Contra Costa Chorale will bring some of these women out of the shadows to celebrate their achievements and showcase their prowess. In a stirring concert of diverse periods, styles, and themes, audience members will hear from women who had important things to say and who insisted on being heard.
This concert will be performed at two different locations on two different dates and at different times:
Saturday, May 18, 8:00 p.m. Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley (UUCB), 1 Lawson Road, Kensington 94707

Sunday, May 19, 5:00 p.m. Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church (MDUUC), 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek 94596
