Performance Showcase presents an evening of spoken word, song, music and dance, featuring new works from known and emerging Bay Area artists. The show will explore stories about bodies, bullying, immigration, growing up in San Francisco, performance as ritual, and more.

*Abel-Kerns will perform "I Never Saw Another Butterfly," a selection of poems by children from the Terezin concentration camp. Set to music by Lori Laitman and accompanied by primo saxophonist Rhett Bender, this piece features the children's poetry of hope and innocence during the 1940s.

Performance Showcase was founded in 2004 to promote the work of new and established Bay Area artists in music, dance, opera, and spoken word. PS provides an opportunity for support of the arts community at an intimate and beautiful venue. Producer and artistic director is Doug Baird.
Our mission is to support the arts in the Bay Area by providing an affordable venue for contemporary performing artists to showcase their work.
St. Aidan's church, in the Diamond Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, is a unique performance space particularly suited to live music, dance, and spoken word.
PS2019 is proud to celebrate 15 years of supporting the performing arts.
