Wish Weasel is a campy 90s sci-fi fantasy where a magical weasel crash lands in Queens and befriends a girl whose down on her luck. They must work together to defeat his evil brother to save Queens (and the Earth). The pilot episode is a zany, 22-minute live-action comedy with puppets, collectible cards, and kaiju battles.
Wish Weasel was shot entirely in Astoria, Queens. Part of the cast and crew call Astoria home and now their will be a free screening of Wish Weasel at the Museum of The Moving Image in The Barton Screening Room thanks to funding from The Queens Council Of The Arts.
After the screening there will be a Q&A with Jimmy Calhoun, Chair of the Computer Art Department at School Of Visual Arts. As well as an opportunity to meet Wish Weasel.
