Coming Back Cinema Presents: The Road Warrior
The Road Warrior spawned a good number of ripoffs when it was first released, yet not one of them even comes close to this visceral and cheer-inducing action masterpiece. Mel Gibson and director George Miller were running on all cylinders when they made this dystopic sci-fi action film about Max, a renegade loner/hero who stumbles upon a violent struggle for gasoline between a community who owns it and the bandits who will take it. And it's up to him to do what's right... how awesome is that!? Also running on all cylinders are the car chases (you can't fire me, I quit). The action in this film is top notch and the vehicular stunt work is jaw-dropping to this day. We strive to show films that are better on the big screen and better with loads of people which is why we couldn't be more excited about this screening of The Road Warrior.
