Elysium Furnace Works and the Howland Cultural Center, Beacon's premier Arts and Entertainment venue are pleased to present Eszter Balint and Chris Cochrane. Praised as "a gifted singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (who) effortlessly combines the raw elements of punk and rock with a gentle sophistication," (John Schaefer, WYNC), iconic indie actress Balint (Stranger Than Paradise, Trees Lounge, Louie, & c.), teams up with the celebrated Downtown guitarist Cochrane (No Safety, Curlew, John Zorn, Thurston Moore, Marc Ribot & c.) to perform her achingly contemplative songs called "funny, weird and wise (and delivered) with great imagination."
