Jamie Laval
Join us on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. for the third concert in our Orange Coast Concerts 2008-2009 Season.

One of the premier Celtic violinists on the International music scene today, violinist Jamie Laval creates rapt audiences with his intensely passionate performances of traditional music of Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and Quebec, rendered with hints of classical refinement and ethnic music from around the world.

Laval is heralded as "One of North America's finest practitioners of traditional Scottish music" (San Jose Mercury News) and "The next Alasdair Fraser" (Press and Post). The Asheville Citizen-Times writes, "One of the hottest fiddlers out therethis act has been turning heads wherever it plays."

Laval won the 2002 U.S. National Scottish Championship, performed for Her Majesty the Queen, and his CD "Zephyr In The Confetti Factory" won Best World Traditional Song in the 2007 Independent Music Awards Vox Populi. Laval has also appears on Dave Matthews' "Some Devil" CD and numerous film scores.

Tickets $20 each when purchased in advance (plus any applicable fees) or $25 at the door. Children 12 and under are admitted free, and free childcare is available for ages 0 - 6 with a reservation. Parking is free.

For an even better value, you may consider purchasing a Season Ticket which includes admission to this event and three others during our 2008-2009 Orange Coast Concerts season.  The price is only $65 per person.

In our 2008-2009 Orange Coast Concerts season, you will enjoy an eclectic mix of performances by a collection of world class musicians. Starting with Larisa Stow and Shakti Tribe and building through the 4-concert series with a danceable Jazz concert by the Peggy Duquesnel Ensemble, dynamic violinist Jamie Laval, and three spectacular zither artists, you won't want to miss this season's fabulous performances.

Our venue is small, which means you can hear and see the performers from every seat.  It's an intimate setting for live music that you won't soon forget.

When you purchase your $65 Season Ticket, you will save $15 off the individual advance ticket price or $35 off the individual door price!

All concerts begin at 7:30pm.

Refreshments are available for purchase at intermission.
