Round TWO of the legendary Grouch in Toronto... ding ding! Why not do an amazing thing a second time... only bigger and better? This time, on top of an exhilarating psytech set, when the moon reaches the top of the sky, Grouch will be serenading with his incredibly warm and lovely dub band. We are working at creating nothing less than another incredible soiree, co-created by our top gun DJs, artists and performers. We welcome you to come bask in an evening of pure magic.

Grouch encompasses the audible tales of New Zealand born producer Oscar Allison. Born and raised in the breathtaking surrounds of Aotearoa/New Zealand, the incredible backdrop infused and ignited a passion for dub and ethnic percussion that would later form a pivotal basis in his electronic foray.

Ever evolving in his quest for the perfect squelch, or the dirtiest skank, Oscar has spent a lifetime experimenting and developing sounds which bend the structures of electronic genres, all of them encompassing an original and unmistakable essence.

His passion and production, have delivered him to some of the largest crowds at festivals such as Burning man, Oregon Eclipse Festival, Boom Festival, Ozora, Rainbow Serpent, Earth Frequency, Universo Paralello, along with countless other shows all across 5 continents of the globe.

Oscar Allison's distinctive sound has continued to develop, with his most recent work exploring his New Zealand Dub roots. Working with live musicians and producers from all over the world, this evocative sound has flourished. Combined with his iconic electronic flare, which he has mastered over more than a decade of production, his latest timbrel creation will be heard in this colourful and energetic performance.

Zoungla is a music project that compiles a wide variety of music styles into an epic journey. Costa Damoulianos, born in Montreal and raised in a Greek household, has been influenced by many cultures. Costa expands and develops towards the world of psychedelic music, inspired by Shpongle, Ott and Argaman. With his progressive metal roots, and with a particular adoration for story telling, Costa paints the Zoungla project with a combination of unusually overlapping music genres to create an epic symphony.

One of Canada's most highly respected global fusion tastemakers and pioneers, medicineman's mixology has been instrumental in breaking new ground in the world music and ethno electronic scenes since the 90s. His genre-bending prescriptions always deliver a healing dose of primitive rhythms and progressive beats to the dancefloor faithful. We recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of medman's weekly radio mix "No Man's Land" on CIUT 89.5 FM, and he's back with us to serve up a deep set of cross-cultural dub wisdom and interplanetary bass!

THE SECOND ROOM

The second room is A Field Trip Down Memory Lane. Think 60's hippie meets 70's funk, vibrant vintage vibes! This room is dedicated to our late comrade Jay Tripper, who has left our world and community with beautiful memories and art. We intend to commemorate his life by displaying a spectacle of his original pieces and gettin insanely funky and free on the dance floor.

synapps (aka Snappy Homefry) is a Toronto based Producer/DJ, Multi-instrumentist and studio owner of Playhouse Studio. Known for his Global Psychedelic Bass sound that mixes diverse stylings from Cumbia to Deep Dubstep, Hip Hop to House and Glitch to Downtempo, he maintains a unique sound while remaining true to his first love, the Funk.

synapps makes music like Carl Sagan was his father and Tipper was his babysitter. He wants to create a feeling of connectivity for the listener as something spiritual and cathartic; music is a gateway to the sacred and dancing is praying with your feet. He wants to make you feel moved, captivated and inspired. To offer you something extraordinary that you havent felt before, so that you are left asking yourself, what is this feeling and where can I get more?
